Paper one section A: TV

Q1: worth 5 marks, always make 2 points
Always be an analysis question. You must analyse one element of media language from the extract.

Q2: worth 10 marks, always make 3 points.
This will b an analysis and judgement questions. You must analyse and make judgements to one or more areas based on media language and representation. May wish to refer to contexts. Must write a short summary sentence.

Q3: worth 15 marks, always make 4 points (or 3 very well developed) 
10 marks for analysis and 5 marks for judgement.
Extended response focused on media language and representation or just one of those. In this question you must reference all of LARI C and make judgements throughout. Must write a concise conclusion which draws in your overall judgement.

Q4: 5 marks always make 2 points
It will be a TV industry focused question and there to test your knowledge and understanding.

Q5: worth 10 marks always make 3 points
This question will always be about the influence of media contexts. It will ask you about either social, cultural or historical contexts and must refer to drama provided.

This will always be an analysis question that will either be based on media language, representation or audiences. Only be asked about advertising or video games, not the film.

This will be a knowledge based question.

Q2: 4 marks, 2 points likely explain in detail.
This is an knowledge and understanding based question. 

Q3: 10 marks, always 3 points
A question in relation to any relevant area of the theoretical framework in relation to either music videos, MOJO or radio live lounge.

Q4: 5 marks, always 2 points.
Analyse media language or representations with reference to provided text.

Q5: 15 marks, always 4 points (or 3 extended points)
This question will always be about media language, but the area will change every year.
Required to make to make comparisons about about two magazine extracts.

Paper two section B: News

Q6: 1 mark.
This will be knowledge based question. Identify or define.

Q7: 4 marks, 2 points or one in detail
Question to test your knowledge and understanding of News as a form

Q8: 5 marks, always 2 points
This question will be analytical. You will have to analyse either media language or representation in relation to an extract from the observer online or print.

Q9: 15 marks, 4 points or 3 very well developed
10 marks for analysis 5 marks for judgement
This question will ve  based on media language or representation in relation to print newspapers or any area of the framework fro online. Ensure you analyse and make judgements.

Q10: worth 10 marks, 3 points.
This question will be about influence of media contexts. Will not refer to a specific historical or contemporary context. Show understanding of influence of media contexts in relation to time period.
